English
In English this term, we will be reading the text A storm called Katrina. This narrative follows the real life event of Hurricane Katrina that struck New Orleans, America in 2005.
Using this text, we will develop our reading skills by retrieving information, as well as using interpretation skills to understand character feelings and emotions and exploring new vocabulary. The children will use these skills to visualise, predict and sequence events to showcase their understanding.
Maths
In Maths this term, we will be looking at understanding fractions greater than one. The children will learn key times table knowledge throughout this unit that will help them with their multiplication check at the end of the year.
Art/DT
In DT we will be using our sewing skills to create book covers.
PSHE
Our topic for Term four in PSHE is Healthy Me.
RE
This term in RE will be learning how to better understand the religion of Christianity by studying the Easter story and Holy Week.
PE
In PE this term we will be learning the importance of being dynamic with our balances as well as completing a unit of cricket.
